International Conference of Landscape Astrophotography

For photographers and other artists who connect the Earth & night sky, bridging art & science.

The first of its kind, the Nightscape Conference is an initiative by The World at Night (TWAN) program to bring together photographers and other artists who focus on the night sky, landscape astrophotography and the connection of art, night photography & astronomy. The 2015 conference takes place in La Palma, Canary Islands - Spain, in collaboration with La Palma Tourist Board, (Cabildo Insular de la Palma, The island Council), and (a regional astrotourism leader).

Dates: 29 Sept - 01 October (below calendar shows starting time/date only). On 2 Oct there will be a photography trip around the island. Participants will need to register for this trip separately (details will be here).

Location: Island of La Palma (Canary Islands).

Besides accepted submitted presentations, TWAN founders and members from across the globe will speak the event. Many of TWAN photographers ( are world pioneers in various aspects of nightscape photography.

  • Conference Fees*
  • Over 25 hours of theoretical sessions (3 days)

* Adults are regular participants, registering after the 20th Sept only, that are not members of the Astrotourism group in La Palma or are not participants of the AstroMaster or the Astrotourism conference.

* Fees exclude: meals & accommodation. However, closer to the conference we will offer you a choice of nearby hotels at conference prices. These hotels are optional. 

** European Participants are strongly advised to travel to La Palma with a valid European medical card. Participants are strongly adviced to get a suitable travel insurance from and to your place of origin and during workshop. Please notify any food allergies. 

*** Cancellations. We understand that your plans may change after registration. You may cancel with a cancelling fee if cancellation takes place as follows.  All cancellations and changes are to be addressed to E-mail:

Fees will be refunded after the conference (EUR), according to the following policy:

Cancellations received before 31st August, 2015:
90% refund to cover an administration and payment fee.
- Cancellations received between 31st August, 2015 and September 21st, 2015:
50% refund to cover an administration and payment fee.
- Cancellations received after Sept 21st, 2015:
no refund can be made.

Substitutions can be made at any time by contacting in written form. Organizers shall not be liable for refunds should visas not be obtained.
